Education

 - 1999-2004: PhD in anthropology, Department of Anthropology, University of Copenhagen.

 - 1990-1996: Msc in anthropology (Cand.scient.anth.), Department of Anthropology, University of Copenhagen.

Prizes and awards:

Semper Ardens Distinction by the Carlsberg Foundation in 2017

Steven Polgar Professional Paper Prize by the Society for Medical Anthropology for the best article in the journal Medical Anthropology Quarterly in 2015.

Awarded the Sapere Aude distinction in 2013 by the Danish Research Council for Independent Research for my project “A life worth living”.

Winner of Cultural Horizons Prize 2012 awarded by the Society for Cultural Anthropology for my article “Articulating Potentiality: Notes on the Delineation of the Blank Figure in Embryonic Stem Cell Research” in the journal Cultural Anthropology in 2011.
